Managed Security
Through our Managed Security package, Netstar undertake to ensure that the necessary precautions are taken to ensure that your business is protected from the threat of hackers, viruses, Trojans and spyware. We can give you that piece of mind, confidence and support so that you can get on with the daily business of running your company.

Security Audit
As part of their consultancy service, Netstar offer a security audit of your existing I.T. system. Our experienced engineers usually conduct this in conjunction with the LAN audit, more information on this topic can be found here

The consultant will discuss the role I.T. plays in your business and assess the various threats to your system before devising a bespoke security system tailored to your individual needs, dependent, for example, on how much data you send, the roles staff play within the company or how you communicate (email, msn etc).

Although the protection for each company will vary, typical security features can include:

  • Firewalls to block unwanted traffic such as spam
  • Antivirus software to deal with viruses, Trojans and worms
  • VPN to ensure secure remote connections (via laptops for example)
  • Web filter
  • Full security system scan for Malware, Adware and Remote Access Software

Installation
Following discussions, we will then provide you with a security solution and our experienced engineers will install it for you, conducting checks to ensure that the system is working properly. All of Netstar’s team of engineers are at least MCSE qualified and since each is chosen for a particular job, you can trust that installation of your chosen security software on your PCs, servers and laptops will be carried out correctly and to the highest standard possible.

Monitoring
Netstar will continue to monitor your system 24/7, once it is up and running, Remote Monitoring checks your anti-virus software to make sure you’re right up to date and protected and also carries out hackers checks to see if someone is attacking your systems.   Any problems will be notified to our engineers immediately and we will resolve issues as a matter of priority.

As part of our Daily Health Check Service, we automatically provide customers with notification of any further required updates to security software so that you can rest assured that your business is fully protected at all times.

Our Network Operation Centre also has a New Plasma Display system installed which allows Netstar’s staff to immediately see when a particular system is on “red” i.e. that a security breach or fault occurred so that our engineers can attend straight away.

Reports
To enable you to assess how successful your security system is, Netstar will provide you with frequent detailed reports and will also regularly review your system to ensure that it continues to meet your security requirements.
