Vicarage Field IT partnership with Netstar stands the test of time
Vicarage Field Shopping Centre found that their independent IT support person could not cope with the demands of their growing business and took the decision to switch their IT support to London based Netstar.
Back to basics
Netstar conducted a full review of their IT set up and subsequently implemented a series of enhancements to optimise efficiencies, reduce risk and drive down costs:
- Implementation of a network to enable file and printer sharing
- Upgrading of hardware and software to enhance staff productivity
- Replacing old and under provisioned servers with an on premise virtualised server environment to minimize risk of server failure
- Installation of a comprehensive off-site Back up and Disaster Recovery solution to ensure data security and business continuity in the event of a disaster
Increased productivity of staff
More recently, Netstar implemented Microsoft SharePoint as an ‘intranet platform’ to enhance their internal communication and collaboration. SharePoint’s tight integration with Microsoft Office made it the ideal solution for Vicarage Field who were already familiar with the Office product suite.
To ensure Vicarage Field staff stay connected at all times and are able to work productively whilst on the move, Netstar enabled mobile working through Blackberry smart phone devices.
Fast resolution times
Vicarage Field welcomed Netstar’s dramatically faster resolution times, which were in stark contrast to the slow response times they had become accustomed to from their previous IT Support individual.

In addition to consistently delivering a high level of IT support over the past 12 years to Vicarage Field, Netstar have also been entrusted with providing outsourced IT support to Hammersmith Broadway Shopping Centre.
