London, 1st September 2020 – Last week Netstar successfully renewed their Cyber Essentials Plus certification.
Cyber Essentials is a government-backed, industry-supported scheme that demonstrates an organisation’s ability to protect themselves from cyber threats and prevent cyber-attacks.
There are two levels of certification, Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus. Netstar successfully renewed their Cyber Essentials certification in April 2020, which you can find out more about, here. The Cyber Essentials Plus renewal goes one step further, with a hands-on technical verification and assessment from external professionals.
Overall, the certification assesses five key security controls:
- Internet connection security
- Devices and software security
- Controlled access to data and services
- Protection from viruses and malware
- Updating devices and software
Successfully renewing their Cyber Essentials Plus certification proves Netstar’s dedication to maximising their own cyber security and the security of their clients, in line with their mission to ‘Help People Succeed Through Technology’.
Mit Patel, Managing Director of Netstar says: “We’re thrilled to have successfully renewed our Cyber Essentials Plus certification. As an IT Support and Technology Consulting company, the cyber security of our own business and that of our clients is always front of mind. Achieving certifications like Cyber Essentials Plus is just one example of our dedication to protecting London based businesses from potential cyber threats.”
