We’re delighted to announce the expansion of Air IT, following the acquisition of London based Netstar UK Limited and Birmingham based Microtrading Limited.

Joining the Air IT Group are London-based Netstar UK Limited and Birmingham-based Microtrading Limited, both of which are IT Managed Service Providers (MSPs).

These transactions mark the start of an exciting collaboration with two other industry leading MSPs, and significantly enhances our ability to serve clients across the UK.

Together, we look forward to realising the shared benefits of our combined capabilities including additional resource, greater technical expertise and broader geographic reach, with a stronger management team led by Air IT CEO, John Whitty.

John Whitty, CEO of Air IT said:

We are delighted that, despite the recent pandemic, we have found Netstar and Microtrading who are both extremely capable, successful, and exciting businesses with very talented teams. Like Air IT, they are both famous for delivering excellent service whilst also sharing our strong cultural values. The inclusion of their teams will provide additional depth and expertise to support the innovative, business-enhancing services provided for our customers.

About Microtrading

Founded in 1981, Microtrading support the IT infrastructure of businesses, primarily in the sport and recreation sectors, both in the West Midlands and across the UK. As a longstanding partner of several sports clubs and organisations, we’re very much looking forward to bringing our expertise together and solidifying our position as a top MSP across the wider Midlands region.

Andrew Penlington and Neil Marlowe, joint Managing Directors of Microtrading, said:

We have spent almost 40 years developing and growing our business into a successful and agile organisation, and the time is right to take the next step and allow our customers to benefit from our significant joint capability and technical investment. We are all very pleased that the Air IT values and culture are extremely close to those already present within Microtrading, which will make the integration of the businesses so much easier.

Andrew Penlington & Neil Marlowe, Joint MDs, Microtrading

Individually, nothing will change for clients in terms of the award-winning service levels they have always received. The difference is that we can now bring together additional skills and product sets in order to better serve our customers nationwide.

Company culture is at the heart of all our operations, so it was essential for us to partner with like-minded businesses. Both Microtrading and Netstar demonstrate values that align with our own, prioritising outstanding customer service and a forward-thinking approach to IT and communications. We’re confident that both Netstar and Microtrading will be a great fit for the Air IT Group.
