Netstar Support Movember in Aid of Mental Health Awareness
The Netstar team was delighted to help Keegan, one of our Service Desk Engineers, on his initiative to raise money for Movember in aid of mental health awareness.
Mental Health Awareness in the workplace
During Movember, brave and selfless men around the world grow a moustache to raise awareness and funds for men’s health – specifically prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.
At Netstar, we are proud to support wellbeing and employee happiness, so we took the opportunity to bring awareness to mental health by helping Keegan fundraise for the Movember movement.
Kicking off the day with some sweet treats for the team, Keegan spread the cheer in exchange for a small donation. We’re delighted to announce that we have helped Keegan raise £56 out of his £175 total raised.
Keegan comments, “My motivation is Mental Health Awareness. I believe this is an aspect of life that is often over looked, not just in me, but in all people. My aim is simply to bring awareness and to hopefully spark a conversation or two. The more we talk about these things, the easier it becomes for those who struggle with Mental Health to open up and seek help.”
Movember say, “Our fathers, partners, brothers and friends are facing a health crisis, yet it’s rarely talked about. Men are dying too young. We can’t afford to stay silent. By 2030 we aim to reduce the number of men dying prematurely by 25%”.

Movember was established in 2003 and it became the leading charity changing the face of men’s health. They want men to take action on living happier, healthier, longer lives and do this by investing in these critical areas: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.
